The positionBecome a member of the Climate and Sustainability sector and play a key part in assessing the environmental and social impact of Equinor's projects and promoting sustainability across the business.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Equinor and work with a team of experts across the full portfolio of projects that our organisation has to offer. This will include projects across both Oil & Gas, Renewables and Low Carbon Solutions (Hydrogen, Carbon Capture and Storage), and so promises to be an interesting and varied position.
In this role you'll also-
- Carry out impact assessments, and take part in related stakeholder engagement and authority approval processes.
- Manage and assess environmental and social impacts within all business activities and value chains (e.g Oil and Gas, Wind, Hydrogen, Carbon Capture and Storage, Solar and Batteries).
- Advise on corporate Climate and Sustainability strategy and ambitions.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new methods and best practices, e.g., integrating circular economy principles, life cycle analyses, supply chain impacts, and leveraging digitalisation to improve efficiency in sustainability impact management.
- Deliver environmental technology support and BAT evaluations in project development.
You

- A Master's degree in an Environmental or Social subject such as Chemistry, Biology, Natural Resources Management or Political Science.
- 3-5 years experience of environmental sustainability, impact and risk management within business and project contexts.
- Previous experience of stakeholder engagement.
- Knowledge of circular economy principles, life cycle analyses, consenting and impact assessments.
- Ability to handle complex issues and changing external context and requirements.
- Understanding of relevant national/international legislation and standards/guidelines.
- Comfortable working in both Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.
