Specifics
High school graduate or equivalent. Under direct supervision of the Transportation Manager, the Bus Attendant will assist in the safe transportation of educationally, physically and/or medically disables students. May be assigned to work one-on-one with a student or group of students. Secure all students with appropriate transportation safety equipment. Monitor student(s) during transportation to and from school; administer basic first aid/CPR care or Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) as necessary. Apply techniques/strategies such as behavior intervention, mobility training, and variety of assistive and augmentative technology. Physical ability to regularly lift up to 40lbs or 80ibs in a two person left and occasionally push/ or pull variety of tools, equipment or objects weighing up to 100lbs, or push students in a wheelchair or other wheeled assistive equipment. Must possess a valid CPR & Basic First Aid card
