Supply Chain Commercial Lead
Purpose
- Manage a Medium complexity Shales Contract portfolio
- Develop, tender, and negotiate contracts in line with the Business Demand
- Demonstrate HSSE behaviours in dealings with colleagues/contractors
- Working with Shales Strategic team to maximize value from Tactical contracts and localize Framework Agreements and Category contracts
- Ensure continuity of supply through managing ad-hoc business requirements
Accountabilities
Engage with colleagues and stakeholders within Shales Business and Functions to collaborate across organizational boundaries and deliver substantial value by:
- Developing and executing fit-for-purpose commercial strategies and work plans for Tactical spend, aligned with Category Management strategies and Category Leads
- Providing a strong commercial influence with optimizing demand and specifications
- Supporting Manage the Tail initiatives and rationalize the number of Contracts/Suppliers
- Sharing best practices and external market dynamics to deliver value
- Implementing Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives to streamline, simplify, standardize and improve performance
- Ensuring compliance with Ethics & Compliance and Shell Control Framework requirements
- Delivering end-to-end cost savings impacting RDS bottom line
Dimensions
- Manage annual spend in range+/- 3M USD per annum developing portfolio contracting strategies, executing tenders and implementing contracts with value +/- 1M USD
- Contract portfolio +/- 30
- Part of the global team (One Team – multiple locations). No direct reports
- Stakeholders may be in various businesses and geographic locations
- Collaboration with Strategic Supply Chain Leads, Global Category Managers, SC colleagues and own team members

Skills and requirements
- Minimum 5 years work experience in Procurement or similar discipline
- University Degree required or equivalent SC commercial experience
- Experience with negotiation and commercial transactions is essential
- Bachelor / Master degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Law, Economics, Finance, or related discipline(s)
- Proven ability to take initiative, influence others, and make recommendation/decisions in a timely manner with imperfect data
- Knowledge of SAP and RtP process is beneficial
- Well organized and able to manage competing priorities
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work both independently and in teams
- Good communication and inter-personal skills
- Exhibits business savviness and commercial curiosity
- Fluent in English and Spanish (written & oral)
- Proven track record of identifying and executing Continuous Improvement projects
