In addition to the chance to work at this momentous new complex, Oxy offers a competitive total rewards package that includes: - Medical/dental/vision with HSA & FSA options - Life and AD&D insurance - Short and Long-Term Disability - Generous PTO Program - Company paid holidays - Wellness Program - Educational assistance program - Begin investing to your 401(K) and Retirement on your first day with combined 14% company matching - Diverse and inclusive environment with growth and learning opportunities - Flexible schedules - Pregnancy Leave, Bonding Leave and Family Care Leave Description As the Lead Training Coordinator at our Direct Air Capture facility in Notrees, TX you will: - Support and participate in programs, methods, systems, and practices for maintaining a safe and environmentally sound work environment - Coordinate and manage the development, implementation and maintenance of Compliance Training Programs and Employee Qualification Programs for Operations, Maintenance, Laboratory and Technical personnel in accordance with guidelines established by OxyChem, OSHA, ISO standards and other applicable regulatory requirements - Provide direction to Subject Matter Coordinators to ensure all department and plant goals are met - Maintain and update PSM-related documentation for the assigned process area - Develop and maintain unit training materials for assigned process areas and maintenance crafts - Ensure compliance with OCC Technician Training and Qualification Guidelines and objectives at the plant level - Define facility training management plan, plan and coordinate resources, create and adhere to training/project schedules - Coordinate with operations and maintenance functional groups, corporate groups, and other agencies as needed, to determine mandated training requirements for each job classification and maintain a mandated training matrix for each job position at the facility - Direct, conduct and/or coordinate new employee operational training - Research, develop, schedule, conduct and/or coordinate training as required to meet guidelines, objectives, and goals at the plant level - Set up and maintain the facility's Learning Management System (LMS) and related documentation of training records for tracking of training compliance - Actively participate as a member of Oxy's Learning Management System to maintain understanding and awareness of Oxy's current documentation and tracking methods and standards - Maintain operational portions of the MOC process applicable to training and documentation updates - Develop, utilize, and support appropriate techniques for effective training and development of plant personnel - Direct development of presentations, training manuals, testing methods, and training aid materials - Assist, review, coordinate, and oversee writing assignments of the plant Subject Matter Coordinator (SMC) assigned to write operating manuals, procedures, and training manuals, to ensure work is prepared in accordance with established procedures, timelines, and budget schedules - Develop plant trainers by conducting or making available Train-the-Trainer classes in training techniques and auditing training sessions to evaluate and develop trainer's skills - Participate in committees as needed, solicit employee involvement in training program development, conduct needs analysis, and actively publicize training activities and efforts - Audit and evaluate the technician qualification training and other training programs to ensure effectiveness and compliance with company, process safety, ISO, and other regulatory requirements; make recommendations to improve quality and effectiveness where appropriate - Maintain and communicate both monthly and quarterly training metrics data - Provide routine training status updates of goals, objectives, and schedules to plant staff to ensure compliance with training requirements - Provide shift relief for Process and Maintenance Supervisors as necessary
